sample schedule: a day in sixth grade
The schedule provided is an example of what a typical UDS day in sixth grade will look like. Our middle school’s daily schedule will rotate on a block cycle (A-F blocks), with sixth grade students switching classrooms for each subject block.
Union Day’s middle school schedule will follow a waterfall model, beginning each day with a different block (example: if the first day of school begins with A Block, the second day of school would begin with B Block).
The schedule also includes daily time set aside for advisory, study hall, and community meetings—this time will allow our middle school students to either check in with their advisor groups, work on homework, or gather as a grade level. The sample schedule provided is subject to change, but it provides a clear snapshot of a typical day in sixth grade.
