Dr. Pam Long, Head of School
Dr. Long earned her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2014 and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2008 from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Long received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from Pennsylvania State University in 1997. She comes to UDS after having taught first, third and fourth grades for 17 years in both public and private schools.
Kyle Pierce, Head of Lower School
Mr. Pierce comes to Union Day School from Lincoln Charter School where he served as Principal and Assistant Principal. Mr. Pierce started his teaching career in Texas, where he also coached football, softball, cross country and basketball. He moved to NC in 2007 and began teaching at Lake Norman Charter School where he also served as Assistant Principal. Mr. Pierce holds a Masters in School Administration from University of North Carolina Charlotte.

We believe every child possesses unique gifts and needs opportunity to discover the community and world around them.
