Dr. Pam Long, Head of School

Dr. Long earned her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction: Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Charlotte in 2014 and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction in 2008 from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Long received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from Pennsylvania State University in 1997.  She comes to UDS after having taught first, third and fourth grades  for 17 years in both public and private schools. 

Sandra Silverstein, Assistant Head of Lower School

Mrs. Silverstein comes to Union Day School many years of experience in charter schools.  Silverstein earned both her bachelor and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin. She began her education career as a special education teacher. After several years in the classroom, Silverstein served as a consultant to Milwaukee Public Schools and a Transition Specialist for Cooperative Education Service Agency/Wisconsin Department of Instruction (Region I). She has also served as an adjunct member in the Education Department of Carroll University and faculty member of Milwaukee Area Technical College.

 Thank you for evaluating Union Day School. We are excited to build our children’s futures together with you. It is with great passion and dedication that we will see all Union Day children unleash their potential through exploration and inquiry in a positive environment.

We believe every child possesses unique gifts and needs opportunity to discover the community and world around them. Through purposeful hiring, selective curriculum and opportunities, modeling servant leadership, and integrating into our community, Union Day children will develop to their fullest potential.
